Anthroponymy
- Cercador de noms A search engine for personal names available on the Government of Catalonia website in the Department of Justice section. It contains over 2,000 names from the Catalan calendar of saints' names, with the relevant family and colloquial forms, alongside transcriptions for some adapted foreign names.
As of March 2007, the Civil Registry accepts all personal names, with the exception of derogatory terms and any name that may lead to confusion with regard to gender.
- Els noms més freqüents a les Illes Balears. Institut d'Estadística de les Illes Balears The Balearic Statistics Institute (IBESTAT) has produced a list of the all names given to children born to residents in the Balearic Islands between 1996 and 2006.

Cartography
- Infraestructura de Dades Espacials de les Illes Balears (IDEIB) - Institut Cartogràfic i Geogràfic de les Illes Balears (ICGIB) The Government of the Balearic Islands has entrusted the Balearic Institute for Cartography and Geography (formerly SITISBA) with producing the IDEIB (Special Data Infrastructure of the Balearic Islands, within the framework of the EU Directive INSPIRE and the IDEE (Special Data Infrastructure of Spain). This priority project will be the main online channel for circulating and promoting geographical information held by the Balearic Government. The general viewing tool enables users to look up and use spatial data, i.e. viewing, consulting, downloading and analysing geographical information held by the Balearic Government and other public administrations.

It is a benchmark for local and overseas visitors seeking information about the institute's products and services. Moreover, it includes practical cartographic information for anyone living in the region or seeking to get to know it better.
- Institut Cartogràfic Valencià The Valencian Institute for Cartography (ICV) was established in 1997 by the regional government as an independent organisation.
- Infraestructura de Dades Espacials d'Espanya (IDEE) This resource aims to incorporate data, metadata, and geographical services and information produced in Spain at national, regional and local level, in line with their respective legal frameworks.
- National Geographic National Geographic maps to find toponyms from around the world.

- Diccionari normatiu (DIEC2) The IEC dictionary is the official reference for standard Catalan.
- Diccionari català-valencià-balear (DCVB) (Alcover-Moll) The Catalan-Valencian-Balearic Dictionary may be viewed online. The project is run by the ICE (Institute for Catalan Studies) in collaboration with the Balearic government and other institutions.
- Diccionari de l'Enciclopèdia Catalana The online version of the Catalan Encyclopaedia.
- Diccionari etimològic i complementari de la llengua catalana (DECat) The open-access, online version of the Etymological and Supplementary Catalan Language Dictionary from the Pere Coromines Foundation and the Institute for Catalan Studies.
- Onomasticon Cataloniae (OnCat) The open-access, online version of this vast onomastics guide, including etymology and covering all Catalan-speaking areas, from the Pere Coromines Foundation and the Institute for Catalan Studies.

Regulations
- Criteris de traducció de noms, denominacions i topònims (1999) [Col·lecció «Criteris Lingüístics»; 3. ISBN 84-393-4748-0] This work has been reviewed and approved by the Administrative Language Assessment Committee. It includes proposed translations for proper nouns and official names used in public administration documents in Catalan and Spanish. The criteria may also be useful for documents produced at other bodies.
- Regles d'ús de les majúscules i minúscules (versió 6, 2023) This guide sets out the capitalisation rules for publications from the Institute for Catalan Studies. First published in 1993, it was continuously updated and extended up to 2016. Any suggested changes must be submitted to the Onomastics Office in the Philology Section for approval.
- Normalització del nom o dels cognoms Procedures and rules for standardising first names and surnames.
- Traducció de noms de persones, coses i llocs This list includes equivalent Catalan and Spanish terms, as well as translations into French, English and German. Nevertheless, rules of use are not provided. With regard to the Catalan and Spanish equivalents, the common criteria set out in the Criteris de traducció de noms, designacions i topònims from the Administrative Language Assessment Committee are used.
Toponymy
Nomenclàtor Toponímic de les Illes Balears (NOTIB) A project dating back to 1999 listing and presenting current non-urban toponyms in the Balearic Islands. It was originally linked to the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB, Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics) and later moved to the Institute for Catalan Studies (IEC). Xavier Gomila (Minorca) joined the project in 2003, followed by Enric Ribes (Ibiza and Formentera) in 2004, adding the names of Balearic towns sorted by municipality.
- Nomenclàtor Geogràfic de les Illes Balears (NGIB) A toponym catalogue produced by the ICGIB and containing data on the location, geography and additional details to unmistakably identify place names. The catalogue is based on the ICGIB Balearic Topography Map and represents the most extensive and precise georeferenced source for place names classified by type. It also references the Nomenclàtor de Toponímia de les Illes Balears (the largest source for standardised toponyms from the relevant bodies) and the Nomenclàtor de Toponímia de Menorca (a project listing and standardising Minorcan place names).
- Menorca nom a nom - Nomenclàtor de toponímia de Menorca A catalogue aims to list all geographical or place names in Minorca. The CIM Geographical Information Service, alongside the Balearic Government (through the ICGIB) and Xavier Gomila (an IME member and a philologist specialising in Minorcan toponyms) are working on the catalogue.
- Nomenclàtor de nuclis de població de les Illes Balears This online version of the original book published in 2001 was put together by a four-person team at the UIB Onomastics Unit, alongside the former head of the Language Service, Gabriel Bibiloni. The project aimed to compile a catalogue listing all toponyms in the Balearic Islands, from large cities to hamlets, villages, towns, granges, suburbs, neighbourhoods and modern housing developments.
- Comissió de Toponímia de Catalunya (Generalitat de Catalunya) The main portal to access toponymy databases in Catalonia, alongside regulations, language criteria and maps.
- Comissió Especialitzada de Noms Geogràfics (CENG) The committee is charged with supporting the standardisation of geographical names in Spain, in collaboration with the relevant national and regional bodies.
- Geographic catalogues from the National Geographic Institute Nomenclátor Geográfico Básico de España, Nomenclátor Geográfico Nacional and Nomenclátor Geográfico de Municipios y Entidades de Población.
- Nomenclàtor oficial de toponímia major de Catalunya This catalogue of major place names in Catalonia contains 52,700 official place names set by the Toponymy Committee at the Catalan Government.
- Nomenclàtor toponímic de la Catalunya del Nord A collection of toponyms and their phonetic transcriptions in France.
- Estats del món Lists of countries and ports around the world. They also contain the main place names linked to different ports.
Toponímia de Mallorca A portal created by Miquel Àngel Escanellas Garau that aims to promote place names on the island of Majorca, as well as contribute to providing accurate location data.
- Toponímia És a dir The language portal from the Catalan Broadcasting Corporation. It classifies toponyms by strict linguistic criteria: Catalan-speaking regions and other toponyms.
